Privacy Policy
Last Updated:
This policy explains what Casino Adventurer collects when you read the site, write to us or open an account, why we use it, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and how you can see, change or delete it. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
Casino Adventurer runs casinoadventurer.com, a website of casino reviews, bonus and game pages, guides and news. We do not run any gambling service, and you cannot gamble on this site.
For any question about your data, write to contact@casinoadventurer.com.
2. What we collect
2.1 When you read the site
- Your IP address. Cloudflare, which delivers every page, uses it to send you the site and to keep attacks out. We do not keep it in our database.
- Your country, as Cloudflare reports it, in a cookie that lasts 24 hours, so a review can tell you at once when a casino does not accept players from your country.
- How you use the site: the pages you visit, the site that sent you, your browser, device type, screen size, language and rough location (country and city). Umami, the analytics tool we run on our own server, counts these without cookies. Google Analytics counts them too, but only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Clicks on the buttons that lead to a casino: which casino, which page and which button, with your country. Nothing in that count identifies you.
2.2 When you write to us
The contact form sends your name, email address and message to our inbox through Resend, an email service. The website keeps no copy. Email you send to contact@casinoadventurer.com reaches the same inbox.
2.3 When you open an account
Accounts are free and optional. If you open one, we keep:
- your email address, and a new address you asked to change to until you confirm it
- the display name and avatar you choose
- your password, stored hashed, so nobody, us included, can read it
- the casinos you save and the games in your favourites, with any star rating you give a game
- which email alerts you want
- when each of your log-ins started and when it ends, so logging out or changing your password can end it
- if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID; Google also tells us your email address and that it is confirmed
On sign-up, on password reset and after repeated failed log-ins, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is using the form. To do that it reads your IP address and details of your browser. We count failed log-ins by email address and IP address in the server's memory for up to an hour, and never write them to the database.
3. Why we use it

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.
4. Who else handles it
- Cloudflare delivers the site, protects it and runs the Turnstile check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Resend sends our account emails and the messages from the contact form. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Google runs Google Analytics, only with your consent, and Google sign-in, only if you use it. See Google's privacy policy. You can also turn off Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out add-on.
- Hetzner, a hosting company in Germany, runs the servers that hold the website, its database and our Umami analytics.
Casino sites we link to run under their own privacy policies, and what happens there is up to them. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how those links work. We share your data with no one else.
5. How long we keep it
Data | How long |
|---|---|
Your account, saved casinos, favourite games and ratings | Until you delete the account |
Messages in our inbox | 12 months after our last reply |
Google Analytics data | Up to 14 months |
Umami visit records | No set limit; they hold no IP address, name or email |
Clicks on casino buttons | 2 years |
Failed log-in counts | Up to 1 hour, in memory only |
Your cookie choice | 1 year |
Your country cookie | 24 hours |
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- see a copy of the data we hold about you
- have it corrected
- have it deleted
- limit how we use it
- get it in a format a computer can read
- object to a use based on legitimate interest
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before
Much of this you can do yourself in your account's Settings: change your display name, avatar, email address, password and email alerts, or disconnect Google.
Delete account in Settings removes your account at once, together with your saved casinos, favourite games and ratings. It cannot be undone.
For anything else, write to contact@casinoadventurer.com. We answer within one month, as the GDPR requires.
To stop Google Analytics, decline it on the cookie banner. Our Cookie Policy explains how to change your answer later.
7. Children
The site is for adults. You must be 18 or older to open an account, and older if the law where you live sets a higher age for gambling. When we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
8. Data outside the EU
Cloudflare, Resend and Google may handle data outside the European Economic Area. They do so under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Security
Every page loads over HTTPS. Account cookies cannot be read by scripts on the page, passwords are stored hashed, and a link we email you works once and for 24 hours at most.
No system is perfectly secure. If you think someone has used your account, change your password and tell us.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a change affects how we use members' data, we tell members by email or on the site before it applies.
11. Complaints
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. The European Data Protection Board lists every authority in the EU.
12. Contact
Write to contact@casinoadventurer.com or use our Contact page. The rules for the site and its accounts are in our Terms and Conditions.
