Editorial Policy
How we research, write, check and correct what we publish about online casinos.
Last Updated:
Casino Adventurer publishes casino reviews, bonus comparisons, game pages and gambling news for readers in many countries. This policy explains who writes that content, where its facts come from, how it is checked before it goes live and how we correct it. If something on the site doesn't match what this page says, please tell us.
Our mission
We help players choose an online casino with their eyes open. Most people skip the licence, the bonus terms and the withdrawal rules, yet that is where casinos differ most. We read those parts for you and set them out in plain English.
We write for the reader, not for the casino. When a casino falls short, the review says so.
What we cover
We are an information site, not a casino: we don't take bets or hold player accounts. We publish five kinds of content:
- Casino reviews: the licence, the company behind the site, bonuses, payments, games, support and the countries the casino doesn't accept, with a Trust Score from 1 to 10
- Bonus comparisons: what each offer asks of you before you can withdraw your winnings, such as 35x wagering within 7 days
- Casino guides by type, such as new casinos, crypto casinos, live casinos and mobile casinos
- Game and studio pages: the games and the studios that make them
- News: changes in regulation and in the casino industry that matter to players
Everything here is general information for adults aged 18 or over. It is not legal, financial or tax advice.
Scores are not for sale
An editor sets every Trust Score by hand, from the facts in the review. No casino can pay to raise its Trust Score.
Weak spots stay in. If a casino caps bonus winnings low, doesn't name the company behind it, or holds a licence we can't find on the regulator's register, the review tells you.
How we review a casino
Every casino review covers the same five areas:
- Trust and safety: the regulator, the company that runs the casino, and whether the licence appears on the public register
- Banking and payouts: payment methods, deposit and withdrawal limits, fees and the payout time the casino states, most often between 24 hours and 72 hours
- Bonuses and promotions: wagering, maximum bet, caps on winnings, deadlines and the games that don't count
- Games and fairness: the studios behind the library and whether the casino publishes RTP figures
- Support and usability: how to reach support, in which languages, and which countries are turned away
For bonuses we give the figures you would check yourself: a wagering requirement such as 35x, a cap on winnings such as €100, and the time allowed to meet the terms, such as 30 days.
An editor then looks at the five areas and sets the Trust Score. How We Rate Casinos explains each area and what each review flags.
Where our facts come from
Each fact is taken from whoever is responsible for it:
- Licences: the regulator's public register, such as the Malta Gaming Authority's licensee register or the Curaçao Gaming Authority's register
- Bonus terms, limits and payout times: the casino's own terms and conditions
- Laws and rule changes: the regulator or government that made them
Other review sites are never a source. If a casino keeps a detail to itself, such as the company that owns it or its withdrawal limit, the review points out the gap.
A payout time in a review is the one the casino states. Yours can take longer: the casino may ask for ID first, and some payment methods and weekends slow things down.
Who writes and checks our content
Every review, guide and news article follows the same path from first draft to live page.
Research
The writer collects the facts from the sources above and notes anything the casino doesn't publish.
Write
The writer drafts the page in plain English. Reviews and news articles carry the name of the author who wrote them.
Edit
An editor reads the draft against this policy before it goes live. Nothing is published straight from a writer.
Publish
The page goes live showing the date it was last updated.
Keep it current
Casinos change bonuses, limits and country lists without warning. When we learn of a change, we update the page and its date.
How we correct mistakes
If we get something wrong, we fix it. A serious error, such as a wrong licence or an outdated withdrawal limit, is corrected as soon as we have checked the source. Small fixes, like a typo, go in with the page's next update.
To report a mistake, email contact@casinoadventurer.com or use our contact page. Tell us the page, what is wrong and, if you can, where you found the right information.
Responsible gambling
We write for adults of legal gambling age, and never for anyone under 18. Gambling is paid entertainment: every casino game is built to pay back a little less than it takes in. A slot with a 96% RTP pays back about €96 of every €100 staked over time, so the longer you play, the more likely you are to lose.
Reviews point out terms that work against players, such as low caps on winnings, short deadlines and high wagering, so you see them before you sign up.
For warning signs, tools such as deposit limits and self-exclusion, and help lines in each country, see our Responsible Gambling page. If you need someone to talk to now, Gambling Therapy offers free, confidential support online.
Gambling laws where you live
Online gambling laws differ from country to country and change often. A casino on our site is not a sign that it is legal, or licensed, where you live. Check your local law before you sign up anywhere.
Each review lists the countries the casino says it doesn't accept, and the site warns you when yours is one of them. Casinos change these lists without notice, so read the casino's own terms before you deposit.
Language and tone
We write in plain English and explain the terms a newcomer may not know, such as wagering (how many times you must play a bonus through, for example 40x), RTP and volatility.
We don't present gambling as a way to earn an income or get out of debt, and we avoid phrases like "easy win" or "guaranteed profit". A bonus is described by what it asks of you, not only by its headline figure.
Who runs Casino Adventurer
Casino Adventurer is written and edited by a small editorial team. Our About page tells you more about who we are, and each review names the author who wrote it.

Frequently asked questions
Each review is written by the author named on it. An editor reads it against this policy before it goes live.
There is no fixed schedule. We update a review when a casino changes its terms or a reader reports a mistake, and the page shows the date of its last update.
Not necessarily. Gambling laws differ by country, and a casino may not accept players from yours. Check your local law and the casino's own terms before you sign up.
Email contact@casinoadventurer.com with the page and what is wrong. We look it up at the source and, if you are right, fix the page.
Hold us to this policy. If a review doesn't live up to it, or a fact no longer matches what the casino says, tell us. Readers who point out what we missed make every review better.
